The art of explaining botany or expressing the beauty of flowers and the plant in a pleasing way is known to be botanical Art. The botanical Art and illustration emphasize extremely careful observation and finely accurate renderings of the subjects whereby the finished images become readable to all. Neera Joshi Pradhan has been practicing botanical Art in Kathmandu, Nepal for last 10 years.
Beyond the accurate portrayal of the botanical subjects, Neera expresses the soul of flowers in the canvases in a different form of floral motifs in her own way. The distinct and unique mode of expression is her personal style that depicts factual structure of an organic world - abstraction of floral motif are much loved by abstract Art lovers .

"I have been painting Botanical Art as my passion for art and its scientific aspects as well. These required technically perfection and scientific accuracy. I meet new challenges in making live paintings from dead materials. I am almost abide by the rules and regulations. Most of the times I painted what I had observed with my eyes and I draw and paint them how the objects in nature looks like and enjoy this lively moment if it is the real one. My passion for Art and flora is the inspiration from nature, I am delving close to nature and searching a way to understand in sharing knowledge of beauty and truth of this natural world."
"In the recent days I have taken some liberty to paint freely. My new series on "Petals" are the inner state of mind rather than what exactly flowers look like. I am always fascinated by the rich texture and rich hues of the petals in the nature. I have attempted to explain how I had seen the nature of the nature within the petals and if the viewers have also seen the same thing, then I have done my job satisfactorily. I use my best medium water color on Arches Paper and acrylics on canvases to express the Soul of the flowers."
